BACK TO SCHOOL YOUTH PARTY

Welcome New 6^th Graders

On Sunday, August 23, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. we will

have our back to school party for youth.  If you

are going into 6^th grade this year we would love

to have you join us at youth.  We will normally meet on

Sundays from 5-6:30 for Jr. High and 6:30 – 8 for Sr. High.

Jr. High will be 6-8^th graders and Sr. High will be

9-12^th graders.  Hope to see you there!

LIBERTY HOSPITAL

HOSPICE REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS

Your help is needed!  This is an opportunity to help people in your community who are facing a life-threatening illness.  Liberty Hospital Hospice is in need of caring individuals to be a part of our hospice team, as volunteers.  Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles such as sitting with patients and families, and running errands.  The time commitment is flexible, based on your availability.  For more information, please call Carmella Kovach, Volunteer Coordinator or Sandra Thibodeaux, Hospice Coordinator at 816-407-2200.  Volunteer Orientation/Training is scheduled for:

· Session #1—Sat., Sept. 12, 2009 (9:00 am — 3:30 pm)

· Session #2—Sat., Sept. 19, 2009 (9:00 am — 3:30 pm)

· Session #3—Sat., Sept. 26, 2009 (9:00 am — 3:30 pm)

Lunch and snacks are provided.  Attendance at all three sessions is required and will be held at Liberty Hospice Office, 1134 W. Kansas St., Liberty, MO.  To RSVP, please call by September 1 816-407-2200.

COLLEGE/MILITARY ADDERESSES

We need the addresses of our college students and military personnel.  Please turn them into the church office, drop them in the offering plate or call 296-7793.

 Bible Study

There will be a new Bible Study beginning Monday night at 6 pm focusing on weight loss.  The book used will be Begin With Christ,  First Place 4 Health. 

Carry in Dinner

We will have a carry in dinner on Sunday, August 30 after the 10 AM service. Come and enjoy fellowship and food.

Worship Services

We will return to 2 services on September 6, 8:30 and 11:00 AM; Sunday School 9:45 AM.

Genesis Class

Beginning in September the Genesis Class will start a new study focusing on the book The Shack.  Watch for more details.
